In the last months of his life, Fajans was preparing another mural-sized painting. There was no sponsor or committed venue for the work, but he had a definite image in mind and was well on his way to creating it. [Click for more discussion.]

This three-panel mural for the U.S. Courthouse in Seattle took 5 years to create. In addition to forming a coherent single work exploring the jury system, it comprises the largest single collection of Fajans’ figural representations. [Click for Courthouse Mural pages.]
